Built between 1890 and 1896, St George’s Market is considered one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland and has won numerous awards and titles. It’s a great way to pass a few hours – it’s bustling and friendly, with a great atmosphere where you can sample and purchase local produce.

The market also has local bands and musicians, which had to the atmosphere and vibe. You can browse the stalls and pick up unique handcrafted jewellery, prints and pictures from Northern Ireland, flowers and glass work, as well as hand crafted cards and stationary.

St George’s Market also has a newly furbished restaurant called “George’s of the Market Restaurant“. You can enjoy great food, drinks or just sit back and soak up the atmosphere with a speciality coffee. You have to try their Ulster Fry – which uses the fresh ingredients from the Market floor.

St George’s Market is located at the corner of Oxford Street and May Street. There is also an entrance in East Bridge Street.

 

The Friday Variety Market is open from 6am-2pm.
The Saturday City Food & Garden Market is open from 9am-3pm.
The Sunday Market is open from 10am-4pm.
